The Brooklyn Army Terminal (BAT) offers beautiful waterfront locations for large outdoor events as well as architecturally unique interior spaces for your meeting or event. We can accommodate groups as small as 10 and up to 10,000 on our campus. We offer special rates for local community organization events.

Inquiry Terms

Event permits inquiries must be submitted with a minimum of 4 weeks' advance notice of your event date. Expedited event permits may be possible but will require an additional fee and must meet certain requirements.

All event requests must include a completed Event Permit form. Once your completed form is received, we will respond within 1 business day with any follow-up questions.

Please note, we can only issue an event permit to a licensed New York business. You must be able to supply the required insurance certificates to confirm your event.

I understand that this form is for inquiry purposes only and does not in any way guarantee the issuance of an event permit. NYCEDC will review the information provided herein and based on several factors, including but not limited to the proposed use and availability of the location, may offer you a formal application to be completed. After you complete and submit the application, NYCEDC will conduct a more in-depth review of your background, insurance, etc. and may issue you a permit for your event.

Please note the following insurance minimums for any event permit:

*Additional insurance may be required depending on the nature of your event (e.g. for alcohol/catering, special effects, etc.)
